Submitting PSLF Form – The PSLF form permits you to submit to the Social Security Administration (or the IRS) any payments that you make in order to pay for pensions or other benefits. The PSLF loan forgiveness program requires you to have renewed your certification of employment. To be eligible for the PSLF loan forgiveness program to be considered valid the borrowers have to have worked for an organization that is public in nature like a government agency or non-profit organization for at most 10 years. Furthermore, they need to have made at minimum 120 loan repayments that qualify for the program during the time period. The applicant must fill out the PSLF form to confirm your employment. MOHELA will then review the form and inform the borrower of how many qualifying loan payments they’ve made.

Every year, or when your work is changing If your job is changed, you need to fill out your PSLF Form. This will enable you to qualify to be eligible for this program. MOHELA will then transfer the loan. Once you’ve completed the form, you need to provide any supporting documents that prove you’re still employed.
