Payments that are PSLF compliant

Before January 1st 2013, only federal student loans through the Federal Family Education Loan Program could be considered to be considered for PSLF.
PSLF technically qualifies Direct Parent Plus loans so long as the parent works in a position that is eligible. But until the Direct Parent Plus Loan is changed to the Federal Direct Consolidation Loan, the parent will not be eligible for PSLF.
Recertification of Employment
The first step in applying to be eligible for PSLF loan forgiveness is recertification of employment using the PSLF form. The program requires that applicants are employed by a public agency or non-profit for at least a years in order to be qualified. In addition the borrower must have made a minimum of 120 qualifying loan payments within that time. The submission of the PSLF form to recertify employment is a requirement that you provide it to MOHELA. MOHELA will review it and notify you of the amount of qualifying loans you have made.
Every year, or when your work is changing You must fill out the PSLF Form. This will allow you to be eligible to be eligible for this program. MOHELA will then transfer the loan. Once you have completed the application form and submitted it, you must include any documents to prove that you are still employed.
The PSLF employment certification form requires you to submit personal information, including the name of your child, Social Security numbers, birth date, address, phone number, email address, and the date of birth. In order to confirm any changes to your information, the form asks you to tick a checkbox. After you’ve completed the form, it is necessary to go through the legal acknowledgement box. This confirms that the information you provided is accurate. You must also sign and date the PSLF Employment Certificate Form, which will then be sent to the Department of Education.
