PSLF Annual Certification Form – A PSLF is used to report to Social Security Administration, or IRS, payments that you make to cover the costs of your pension as well as other benefits. PSLF is technically eligible for Direct Parent Plus Loans provided that the parent works in an occupation that qualifies. Benefits for parents are not available through PSLF cannot be obtained when the Direct Parent Plus Loan can’t be converted into an Federal Direct Consolidation Loan.
Recertification of employment
The first step in applying for the PSLF loan forgiveness is the recertification of employment on the PSLF form. To be eligible for the program, applicants have to be employed by a public interest employer, like a nonprofit or government agency, for at least 10 years. They also must make 120 qualified loan payments over that period. MOHELA reviews the PSLF Form and will inform the borrower about the amount of qualifying loan repayments they have made.
The PSLF must be completed every year. This will allow you to qualify for this program. MOHELA will then transfer the loan. Once you’ve submitted the form it is required to provide any supporting documents that prove you’re still employed.
The PSLF employment certification form requires you to submit personal informationsuch as the name of your child, Social Security numbers, birth date address, telephone number email address, as well as date of birth. To confirm any changes to your personal information, the form asks you to mark a checkbox. After you’ve completed the form, you’ll have to tick a legal acknowledgement box to verify that the accuracy of the information. Then, you must sign and date the PSLF employment certificate form. It will be sent to the Department of Education.
You can recertify your employment status using the PSLF form, if you work for a qualifying public agency or service.
