Parents are only eligible for PSLF when they are eligible for PSLF if their Direct Parent Plus Loans are converted to Federal Direct Consolidation Loans.
Rectifying employment

In order to qualify for the program, borrowers have to be employed by a public-interest employer, for example, a nonprofit or government agency, for a minimum of 10 years. Additionally, they must have completed at least 120 loan repayments that qualify for the program during the time period. MOHELA will review the PSLF Form and will inform the borrower the number of loan repayments that qualify for a loan they’ve made.
The PSLF is required to be completed each year. This ensures that you are eligible for the program. Additionally it will transfer the loan to MOHELA who manages the program. After you submit the application, all supporting documents must be submitted to show that you are currently employed.
You will need to fill out the PSLF Employment certification form with your personal information, including your name, address and Social Security number. The form asks you to tick an option to confirm any changes made to this information. Once you’ve completed your form, you’ll be asked to sign a legal acknowledgment box to certify the accuracy of the information. Finally, sign and date your PSLF employment certificate form. The form will be delivered to the Department of Education.
